And the show must go on….

Folks,  honestly today has been a long day and I am tired.  However, like the title says “and the show must go on”  So I will keep my doing my duty and be sure to help local merchants promote beerly (is that really a word) activities going on this week. The next couple of weeks are light on activities but that doesn’t mean you find something to do. So with out further delay let’s get right into it.

First I am going to start off with an event I am pretty excited about, Wine and Beer Westpark is holding their monthly Beer Theater tomorrow.  The guest is a very respected brewer, Mr. Garrett Oliver of Brooklyn Brewing will be the guest brewer live via Skype.   Come on out to hear his take on many of Brooklyn Brewery’s favorite beers.   The event is tomorrow starting promptly at 17:30.

On Monday Nov 23rd, there will be a Left Hand Brewery Beer Dinner at TJ’s @ The Jefferson.  Follow the link for the menu and cost.  This sounds like a great dinner to attend.

If you live in the Roanoke/Floyd County area and want to try something different. Then be sure to head over the Blacksnake Meadery and Foggy Ridge Cider to sample some great pairings with mead and cider with some tasty holiday foods.  This is slated for Nov 28th and will run most of the day.  Wow, what a great way to shake off the madness of holiday shopping?

***************Weekly Beer Tastings***********************

Corks and Kegs: OK I am not going to lie.  I haven’t seen the latest update on what they will be tasting.  Nonetheless I haven’t seen them say they are not doing a tasting this tomorrow. So stop by between 17:30 and 19:30 for some special.

Once Upon a Vine NorthWinter Beers from Sam Adams, Blue Moon, And a few high octane beers from both

Once Upon a Vine South: Chris (@RVABeerMan) will be there this Friday tasting, Blue Moon Grand Cru, Woodchuck Fall + Winter Cider, DR Wee Heavy, and S.A Winter + Imp. Stout.  They will be tasting from 17:00 – 20:00.

Well this coming week is Thanksgiving.  I am not sure there will be tastings on Friday so I may not post any updates. However, I may stream our Turkey Day and show off some of the beers we will be emjoying.  In any case, I hope you and your family have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
